When deciding on which Portland coffee shop to visit first, the beautiful plants inside had me sold! As a houseplant collector, it was an adorable place to sit and enjoy a delicious iced coffee and freshly fried beignets with my daughter. Staff was super friendly too.
Java Man is a coffee shop with great food and drink options, and is a great option if you're looking for a coffee shop downtown. It's got a lot of tables to work at, plants, and a solid food and drink menu. The bagel sandwich was filling and my iced dirty oatmilk chai was delish!
Cute place for a coffee or pastry. Wasn't very busy when we got there, but it picked up throughout the day; we were staying at a nearby hotel. All of the pastries looked tasty and smelled delicious. The coffee was reasonably priced, compared to other places and had a variety of things to choose from.
The Mexican mocha with oat milk was delicious!!! Best beignets around!! I love the whole vibe with the plants and the staff was friendly
Lured in by the pothos visible from the sidewalk outside, I stayed for the blackberry foam on the iced coffee - YUM! This is an airy, happy coffee shop that is also a plant haven. Situated on a corner and adjacent to the Bidwell hotel, the baristas are both efficient and helpful. I spotted the blackberry cold foam listed as part of a speciality drink and when I asked about it, the barista happily suggested adding it to an iced coffee - perfection!! Portland might not be sunny, but clearly Java Man gets enough light to keep its plants happy, and they are an added bonus to this spot in downtown Portland.
We were staying at the Bidwell hotel right next-door. Such a perfect location to get yourself a specialized coffee I had the cappuccino and then I had a chai latte. This coffee place is the real deal. Of course everyone knows that Portland is known for their coffees and Java man coffee does not disappoint they do have smoothies. They have pastries, all kinds of goodies. It's right on the corner. You can't miss it and the staff are so friendly. They even have a sprinkle of nutmeg if you like.
My go-to spot for a morning pick me up when I'm in Portland for work! They have beignets (I like the mini ones) and a Vietnamese iced coffee that will get you through the day. I also love their Thai tea! Staff are friendly and the space is relatively large with plenty of tables (and plants!!). Some of the plants are also for sale if you want to test out your green thumb. I'll continue to try my way through their breakfast menu, pastry offerings, and coffee options.
Best ice matcha I've had in a while!! This coffee shop has so much greenery, tables, and natural light. Would love to wtf here. The barista was so nice, I got the ice matcha with blueberry foam ($5.50). I'm usually hesitant on getting matcha from western cafes but she shifted it so well and the foam was so flavorful. I also got a heated up butter croissant ($3) which was so flakey. Great coffee shop with amazing prices!!
